Cigar City Unleashes Everything in 2/17

  1. Bourbon Barrel Aged Hunahpu’s Imperial Stout– Starting with Imperial Stout we go for broke simultaneously aging the beer in a bourbon barrel with cacao, pasilla and ancho peppers, Madagascar vanilla, and a touch of cinnamon.  With so many flavors coming together it becomes hard to define beyond amazing.  11% abv
  2. 2. Bourbon Barrel Aged Marshall Zhukovs Imperial Stout- Marshal Zhukov’s Imperial Stout after being holed up in a bourbon barrel for a few months, even more rich and complex.  11% abv
  3. 3. Brandy Barrel Winter Warmer- Our old ale with a little time with another winter warmer, Laird’s Brandy.
  4. 4. Coriander Winter Warmer- Our old ale aged on toasted and crushed coriander for a bit more spice to compliment the American hop varietals.
  5. 5. Creamsicle IPA- Our IPA with a classic frozen treat twist.
  6. Cubano Espresso Maduro– Our Maduro Brown Ale aged on whole beans from Naviera Coffee Mills #3 Espresso blend with chicory. 5.5% abv.
  7. 7. Double Cream Ale (cask) – Double Cream ale is a crisp, strong cream ale with notes of corn and a
honey sweetness that is balanced by German and Czech hop varietal bitterness.  Deceptively smooth 9% abv.
  8. 8. Flora IPA- We take our IPA with all of its citrus hop aroma and add a few more plants, namely cedar and lavender for a flowery aroma with the same clean finish. 7.5% abv
  9. 9. Humidor Series Jai Alai Cedar IPA (cask) GABF 2009 Gold Medal Winner in wood and barrel aged.  The cedar and citrus hops come together for a big white grapefruit aroma and crisp dry finish. 7.5% abv

10. Humidor Series Jai Alai Cedar IPA- See above

11. Humidor Series Juniper IPA- Our award winning cedar aged IPA with fresh juniper berries added, clean and crisp.

12.  Humidor Series Marshal Zhukovs Imperial Stout– The Humidor Series is a rotating offering of Cigar City Brewing beer aged on cedar. We change the offering for every release so that more of our beers get to luxuriate in cigar box cedar. Cedar has a more subtle effect on beer than more traditional woods like oak. But, we think that once you taste it you’ll agree that cedar deserves a place along side oak in the brewer’s wood-aging toolbox. Humidor series beers will vary due to style, but are always a good option for pairing with a fine cigar. 11% abv

13. Humidor Series Maduro Oatmeal Brown- The cedar comes through competing with the Maduro for dominance in aroma and balancing the sweeter malt character with a drier finish. 5.5%

14. Humidor Series Maduro Oatmeal Brown cask- See above

15.  Humidor Warmer Winter Winter Warmer– Our Warmer Winter Winter Warmer aged on cedar. 10% abv.

16.  Hunahpu’s Mayan Chocolate Imperial Stout- In Mayan myth, Hunahpu gave cocoa to the Mayans. The base recipe is Marshal Zhukov Imperial Stout. It is aged on pasillo and ancho peppers as well as vanilla, cinnamon and cocoa nibs. 11% abv

17.  Jai Alai IPA-Jai Alai India Pale Ale pays tribute to the original extreme sport. Tampa was once home to a busy Jai Alai fronton but sadly all that remains of Jai Alai in the Tampa Bay area is this India Pale Ale that we brew in tribute to the merry game. 7.5% abv

18.  Maduro Oatmeal Brown Ale– A hearty brown ale that benefits from the silky mouth feel provided by oatmeal, pairs great with Cigars. 5.5% abv

19. Maduro Oatmeal Brown-Vanilla Aged- Some people felt like the brown ale could use another dimension; enter Madagascar vanilla beans to complement the smooth chocolate character. 5.5% abv

20. Maduro Oatmeal Raisin Cookie- The rich malt character provides the oatmeal while we add raisins and cinnamon for that classic cookie aroma and taste. 5.5% abv

21. Mango IPA (cask) – Our IPA cask conditioned on dry hops, mango acai tea, and a hint of lavender. 7.5% abv

22.  Marshal Zhukovs Imperial Stout– This Russian Imperial Stout is dedicated to Gregory Zhukov. Arguably one of World War II’s finest generals and a man bold enough to appreciate the rich, complex flavors of a beer brewed to fortify a body through the Russian winter. Like military geniuses, Russian Imperial Stouts reach their peak with a little age on them, so we release Marshal Zhukov’s Russian Imperial Stout in sweltering August so that it will be at peak flavor come January or February.  Opaque black in color, the aroma has notes of espresso, chocolate, dark sweet toffee with hints of black strap molasses. The flavor starts with an unsweetened chocolate character and supporting notes of herbal dryness from English hop varietals. It then moves into dark toffee sweetness and closes with a slap of roasty espresso. Zhukov’s Imperial Stout pairs well with Mushroom Solyanka, dark chocolate, cherries and ground wars in Russia. Enjoy, comrade. 11% abv.

23. Papaya IPA Papaya IPA is Jai Alai with dried papaya to add a little bit of sweetness and more fruit character.

24.  Warmer Winter Winter Warmer– A old ale with American hop varietals that has a complex citrus and caramelized toffee aroma and underlying notes of chocolate. 10% abv
